In the first of our new starter blogs, we're welcoming Lewis Huxtable. Find out about his extraordinary career path which led him to becoming a developer.
We’re delighted to introduce our newest software developer, Lewis Huxtable. Lewis has joined our team after an unconventional journey into the world of software development, with a career path that is anything but ordinary.
In his teenage years and early twenties, he enjoyed a spell as a semi-professional rugby union player before a working as an English teacher in China for five years. He then moved back to the UK, initially working in a variety of roles, including recruitment and working in a pallet factory, before deciding to study software development. After securing a junior developer role, Lewis continued to hone his skills and develop his passion for the industry before recently joining us here at IJYI.
When asked why he chose to join the IJYI team, Lewis says that while recruiters spoke highly of the company, what truly attracted him was the combination of exciting work and an outstanding team. As Lewis puts it, the opportunity to be "doing cool things with cool people" was too good to pass up.
At IJYI, Lewis takes on an important developer role, focusing on delivering projects to the highest quality. Not only is Lewis already applying his skills and expertise to help our clients succeed in their digital transformation journeys, but his unique background will also undoubtedly bring fresh perspectives to the company.
